in general, hobbies are dozens of search engines quite strange. I've almost never used it in my life, I have 2 search engines, and I don't need 10. I don't know who's searching in Wolfram or where else. Some mathematicians are using the browser right now.

Präzisierung: manchmal dauerts länger, bis überhaupt "etwas geschieht", nach Eingabe einer Adresse, vielleicht wg. DNS-Auflösung. Lässt sich dies kennzeichnen?

I think the find in page is actually part of the chrome <webview> itself which would make it very difficult to change using css alone. I would doubt it to be possible using javascript either.

Vivaldi 3.3 Now has extra styling to make this more clear

And in Vivaldi, the search is even lost within the same tab, after navigating to next page (and sometimes not, which is even more strange).

Now that the main search box can be collapsed to a button and appear as a popup similar to Chrome's find in page, I'd say this is more relevant than ever.

@Granite1 Yeah, that works, but so does Ctrl-F which is pretty fast for me.
Just wish I could start typing without something else first.

@Pesala Thanks. That works great, and indeed it is a pleasure to see it at the bottom, where its setting is much cleaner.

I also suggested something similar but less complex than this. People who do research online are in the habit of opening multiple tabs from one page, with the need to search the text of each one in succession. I think the regex support idea is very valuable, too, much more so than the current toggle option to match case.
